OK, so I'm finally going to post again...

Well, for the second week in a row there has been no church due to inclement weather, so I decided to take this time to try and catch up a bit!

Things at Church have been going just wonderfully! Since the last time I made a blog (before December) there have been almost 10 people baptized in our ward! Truly, everyone in the ward is getting into the missionary spirit and the work is paying off...It is a great time to be a LDS youth in Georgetown!

The Elders have started to teach my mother again, and it has been such a special experience for us both as we went to Church together for the first time and both felt the Spirit so strongly. Somehow I believe that the Spirit is stronger when you are with your family because it binds you together. There has been such an outpouring of support from so many in the ward and I just wanted to thank all of you for everything you have done.

This new year truly went off to a good start...I was able to find out about and see part of a new program that the Church did for the youth, and it had youth from all over the world! It was truly and edifying moment as I saw what looked like thousands of youth in the Conference Center as well as from Germany, Spain, Africa, and so much more! There is a cool widget they have on the site www.ABrandNewYear.lds.org that can be found towards the bottom of this blog, be sure to check it out and check out the site!

As for things at home, all is going well it seems. I am in the process of finalizing my application for BYU-I and hoping/praying for the best! Well, I suppose that's it for today.

God Bless You All!

Awesome! I hope and pray things continue to go well with your mom. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the GLUE that holds my little family together, my marriage together, it holds ME together! I could not live without the wonderful blessings the scriptures bring, that modern prophets and apostles bring, that the temples bring and that personal prayer brings etc. It's a MARVELOUS WORK!!

I hope you get accepted to BYU!! It's awesome out here. It's the hardest school my husband has ever gone to!! It's really humbling and difficult but well worth the struggle. The best things in life come from the hardest work!

TAKE CARE!!
